Anniversary logo
The logo for the 30th Anniversary of the Nordic Centre was chosen by a competition that received 10 submissions by students from our member universities: BI Norwegian Business School, University of Helsinki, NHH Norwegian School of Economics and Fudan University. The design chosen by the Anniversary Committee as the winner is by Jin Xi (金皙), an undergraduate student at Fudan University majoring in Journalism, Television and Broadcasting.
As elaborated by the designer: The logo is oval-shaped, symbolizing the Earth and reflecting the concept of internationalization. It uses four colours from the flags of the five collaborating countries: red, yellow, blue, and white, blending seamlessly to represent the fusion of various national cultures. At the top left corner of the "Earth" is the "W," and at the bottom right corner is the "e," symbolizing the relative positions of the Nordics and China. The "W" is shaped like a snow-capped mountain, representing Nordic characteristics and also suggesting "West." The "e" stands for "East" and is set against Fudan University’s signature blue. Together, the "W" and "e" form "We," symbolizing the friendly cooperation between the Nordics and China. Additionally, when viewed horizontally, the logo represents "30," marking the 30th anniversary of the Fudan Nordic Centre. The overall colour scheme is rich and vibrant, reflecting the colourful fusion of different cultures and the bright future of cooperation.
